Summertime & the mathematics is... easy? At Street Math Investigations, summer is the time to roam the streets and see math all over town, whether it is stalking a graveyard for clues about the lifespan of Colonial residents, or figuring out why the subway map gives us all the wrong information about the size and shape of New York City. We'll see mathematics in the everyday life of New York's original inhabitants, shoot (fake) cannonballs at Governors Island, solve puzzles and ask New Yorkers embarassing questions about their city. For adventurers 10 - 14 years old.
